Norwegian authorities have extradited Francois Gasana, a suspect in the 1994 Rwandan genocide, back to Rwanda. Gasana, 53, who was detained in Norway in 2022, faces a new trial after his prior genocide conviction and 19-year prison sentence by a Gacaca Court were nullified upon his return.
