Abu Dhabi’s artificial intelligence (AI) sector has experienced a significant boom, growing by 61 percent between June 2023 and June 2024. The emirate now hosts 673 AI companies, with a notable increase in new businesses this year.

• Abu Dhabi saw the launch of 150 new AI companies in the first six months of 2024.
• Over 58 percent of all AI firms in Abu Dhabi are dedicated to innovation, research, and consultancy.
• Shamis Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, second vice chairman and managing director of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that Abu Dhabi’s AI sector is evolving from early adoption to real-world transformation.
