The Kenyan government has established six official fan zones in Nairobi for the Harambee Stars' final Group A African Nations Championship (CHAN) match against Zambia on Sunday, August 17. This initiative addresses the stadium capacity reduction at Moi International Sports Centre Kasarani by 40 per cent to 27,000 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

• Six designated fan zones: Uhuru Park, Lucky Summer (Ngomongo Area), Dandora Stadium, Utalii (Stima Club), Jacaranda Grounds, and Kibera DC Grounds.
• Sports Cabinet Secretary Salim Mvurya announced the zones on Wednesday, August 13, following a meeting with security stakeholders, including Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja.
• The fan zones will feature big screens and adequate police security to ensure order and safety.
