Google’s Gemini app has introduced a new “Personal context” feature that allows it to remember past conversations to provide more personalized responses, effectively giving it a "memory" of your preferences. This update aims to make interactions more relevant, such as suggesting Swahili Coast-themed party ideas if it knows your interests.

• The new "Personal context" setting is on by default, logging past chats to personalize future interactions.
• A new Temporary Chat mode has been introduced, allowing one-off conversations that are not saved or used for AI training, disappearing after 72 hours.
• This memory feature is currently unavailable for users under 18, those with work or school Google Accounts, or individuals in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom.
