The 22nd edition of the Federation of the East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSSA) Games has kicked off in Kakamega, Kenya. The games feature teams from Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and guest nation Ivory Coast, with Kenya aiming to reclaim the overall title from Uganda. In the opening basketball matches, Butere Girls defeated Gahini Girls from Rwanda 68-49, while Dr Aggrey beat Uganda's Seetah 64-40.
