The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) of Kenya has announced a strategic partnership with South Africa's Special Investigating Unit (SIU) to intensify the fight against cross-border corruption. This collaboration was formalized during a high-level courtesy visit by the SIU delegation to EACC headquarters in Nairobi on Thursday, August 14.

• The partnership will focus on capacity building, joint training, technical expertise exchange, staff development opportunities, and collaborative research.

• EACC Chief Executive Officer Abdi Mohamud welcomed the SIU delegation, led by Head and Chief Executive Andy Mothibi.

• Kenya has previously partnered with international bodies like the United Nations Convention Against Corruption (UNCAC) and hosted a regional conference in May 2024 with 9 member states on anti-corruption efforts.
