Security was significantly enhanced at Nairobi's Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, for the high-stakes CHAN clash between Harambee Stars and Zambia’s Chipolopolo on August 17, 2025. This extensive security operation aimed to prevent a repeat of crowd trouble that marred Kenya's previous match against Morocco.

• Attendance at Kasarani was limited to 27,000, which is 60% of the stadium’s 48,000 capacity.
• The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) and Local Organizing Committee (LOC) deployed the General Service Unit (GSU), regular police, and intelligence teams.
• CAF fined Kenya Sh6.5 million for breaches during the previous match, where LOC chairperson, Nicholas Musonye, stated that as many as 75,000 people may have entered the stadium despite only 25,000 tickets being scanned.
• Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja encouraged fans without tickets to utilize six official fan zones across the city, including Uhuru Park and Dandora Stadium.
