President William Ruto is embarking on his 14th foreign trip of the year, heading to Yokohama, Japan, to attend the 9th Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD 9). This visit aims to further strengthen the already significant partnership between Kenya and Japan, which boasts a trade and investment volume exceeding Kshs. 600 billion.

• President Ruto will hold bilateral talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba to deepen cooperation in trade, investment, and development.
• The President will advocate for enhanced African integration and connectivity, emphasizing the role of the African Continental Free Trade Area.
• During his visit, President Ruto will also be hosted by Their Majesties Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako at the Imperial Palace.
