The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued a warning for continued heavy rainfall, strong winds, and cold conditions across various regions of Kenya this week, from Tuesday, August 19, to Saturday, August 23.
- Highlands East and West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin, Rift Valley, and North-western Kenya will experience continued rain.
- The Coast and South-eastern lowlands will see strong South-easterly winds exceeding 25 knots.
- Temperatures in areas like Nairobi are projected to range from a maximum of 24°C to a minimum of 7°C, while coastal areas such as Mombasa will have maximum temperatures of 30°C and minimums of 20°C.
- Turkana and Samburu counties are expected to receive rain day and night, with maximum temperatures around 33°C.
- The hottest regions, including Marsabit and parts of North-eastern Kenya, will experience highs of up to 37°C.
