Kenya's first affordable green housing projects, backed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), are nearing completion. These initiatives aim to address the critical housing shortage in urban areas by providing energy-efficient and affordable homes.

• The EIB committed €21.5 million (Sh3.2 billion) in equity financing to the IHS Kenya Green Housing Fund.
• IHS Kenya is currently working on three housing projects in Nairobi, totaling 664 units, with 10 more projects in the pipeline comprising over 2,600 units in Nairobi and Kiambu.
• The "Muzi Stawi" complex in Nairobi’s Garden City, featuring over 200 one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, is almost 90 per cent complete and is expected to be ready by October 2025.
• IHS Kenya aims to deliver approximately 4,000 quality and affordable green homes by 2030.
