Staff at Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) have been assured of a smooth transition as the facility becomes a national parastatal. A technical transition committee is overseeing the process to ensure compliance with labor laws and address staff concerns.

• The transition committee, led by Chairperson James Ntabo, has a period of six months to complete the process.
• The outgoing Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr. Richard Lesiyampe, has been appointed CEO of Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
• The committee is reviewing payroll, assets, liabilities, and pending bills as part of the transition process.
