The Tanzanian government is set to introduce a mandatory air travel fee for all foreign visitors, including Kenyans, starting November 1, 2025. This new fee, collected by airlines, will help fund new security systems for the Tanzania Civil Aviation Authority (TCAA).

• The new fees are $45 (Ksh5,814) for a one-way ticket and $90 (Ksh11,628) for a return ticket.

• Airlines have warned this new fee, following recent restrictions on foreign businesses, could harm the industry.
