The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has arrested a senior accountant of the Siaya County Government for allegedly embezzling close to Ksh100 million through fraudulent allowances. Investigations revealed the accountant processed payments for non-existent training and engagements.

• EACC is also seeking to recover Ksh102,950,307.00, plus accrued interest, through civil proceedings.
• The suspect is currently detained at Kisumu Port Police Station and will be arraigned before the Kisumu Anti-Corruption Court.
• This arrest is part of a wider probe into the alleged embezzlement of approximately Ksh400 million by several Siaya County officials.
