President William Ruto met with Kiambu grassroots leaders at State House on Wednesday, August 27, pledging over Ksh 76 billion in projects for the county, including a new stadium and significant infrastructure developments, while also addressing national healthcare fraud.

• Ruto promised a new 10,000-seater stadium in Thika town and 30 modern markets costing Ksh 4.5 billion in Kiambu County.
• An additional Ksh 30 billion will be invested in constructing at least 15,000 affordable housing units in Kiambu.
• Ksh 22 billion is allocated to complete the 240-kilometre Mau Mau road network and dualise the Muthaiga–Ndumberi road, with another Ksh 20 billion for the Northern Bypass.
• Nationally, Ruto announced the digitisation of the healthcare system to combat fraud, stating that over 700 fraudulent facilities have been closed and will be compelled to refund claimed amounts.
