• Orwoba's expulsion from UDA stemmed from her welcome of former Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), deemed a violation of party rules.
• Lesuuda highlighted perceived double standards, noting that numerous leaders in the previous parliament under then-President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee leadership flouted party rules without reprimand, including those allied with Ruto.
