The Cricket Kenya T20 League (CKT20) was launched in Nairobi, honouring the legendary Kenya national team players who reached the semifinals of the 2003 ICC World Cup. The league, structured similarly to the Indian Premier League (IPL), is set to commence on November 7, 2025.
- The 2003 ICC World Cup semifinalists, including Maurice Odumbe and the Obuya brothers, were each awarded a trophy and Sh100,000.
- The CKT20 League will feature six franchises and is supported by Dubai/India-based AOS Sport Tournament through a five-year deal totalling Sh255 Million.
- Each franchise can include six foreign players, and player auctions for world-class test players will begin in October.
