The Kenyan government has directed all ministries and state agencies to synchronize their communications to avoid disjointed messages, following a recent apparent contradiction between Health Cabinet Secretary Aden Duale and Medical Services PS Ouma Oluga regarding the Universal Health Coverage (UHC) workforce.

• The directive was issued by Head of Public Service Felix Koskei through his deputy Amos Gathecha.
• The clarification from Duale and Oluga addressed claims by the Daily Nation of a contradiction on UHC worker terms.
• The issue follows a separate instance where CS Duale was featured on The Standard newspaper’s front page concerning the Social Health Authority (SHA) payments scandal.
