Business was disrupted along Ngong Road near Prestige in Nairobi on Friday, August 29, 2025, as matatu operators blocked the road to protest alleged harassment by police officers.

• The protest was triggered when a conductor serving the Kibera route was reportedly attacked and physically assaulted by police.
• Stakeholders and victims are calling on the Inspector General of Police, the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA), and human rights defenders to urgently address the matter.
