President William Ruto met with FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Patrice Motsepe at State House, Nairobi, discussing the development of a Ksh 600 million National Technical Centre in Machakos and preparations for the 2027 African Cup of Nations (AFCON).

• The National Technical Centre will serve as the headquarters for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).
• The meeting took place on Saturday, August 30, just hours before the African Nations Championship (CHAN) 2024 final.
• Kenya is set to co-host the AFCON 2027 tournament with Tanzania and Uganda.
