A seven-day dusk-to-dawn curfew has been imposed in Tipis and Mwisho wa Lami areas of Nakuru County following renewed ethnic clashes along the Nakuru–Narok border that began on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The violence resulted in one death, eight injuries, and at least 12 houses set ablaze, displacing dozens of families.

• The clashes stem from an initial dispute over electricity connections, escalating into road blockades and conflict.
• Narok County Commissioner Kipketch Lotiatia and Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara convened a high-level security meeting to address the situation.
• Nakuru County Commissioner Loyford Kibaara announced that additional police posts would be established, and officers would remain on the ground for one week to enforce the curfew, restricting movement between Nakuru and Narok.
