The Kenya Meat Commission (KMC) is set to expand its operations by opening six new outlets in Mombasa and Nairobi. This move is part of a strategy to boost revenue and provide readily available, affordable meat products.

• The expansion aims to raise an additional Sh50 million in revenue.
• KMC Managing Commissioner Maj Gen Gula Jattani stated the new branches will be in Rongai, Syokimau, Thika, Nairobi Central Business District, Mtwapa (Kilifi County), and Likoni (Mombasa County).
• In 2023, Kenya’s meat production reached 556,653 tonnes, valued at Sh304.6 billion, representing a 19.8 per cent increase from 2022.
