The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has affirmed its readiness to collaborate with the Presidential Multi-Agency Team on War Against Corruption (MAT-WAC), provided its constitutional independence remains uncompromised.

• EACC’s Director of Legal Services and Asset Recovery, David Too, stated that collaboration is essential for tackling corruption effectively in an affidavit filed in the High Court.
• MAT-WAC, established on August 18, 2025, comprises 11 institutions, including the Executive Office of the President and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.
• The High Court temporarily halted MAT-WAC's operations on August 20, following a petition challenging its legality by petitioners including Magare Gikenyi.
