Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja has avoided impeachment after an intervention by Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) leader Raila Odinga. ODM MCAs, who had gathered enough signatures to initiate the removal process, agreed to suspend it after a meeting where Sakaja apologized and promised to address their concerns within one month.
