Kenya is set to host the International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) Handgun Pre-World Shoot competition from Thursday at Bamburi Rifle Club in Mombasa. This tournament will serve as a preparatory platform for the Kenya national shooting team ahead of the 2025 IPSC World Handgun Championship in South Africa.
- The event has attracted some 40 individual players from varied backgrounds including the Kenya Defence Forces, National Police Service, Directorate of Criminal Investigation, and civilians.
- Organized by the Kenya Sports Shooting Federation (KSSF), the competition will feature participants shooting through 30 stages.
- The IPSC Regional Director, Frank Ambundo, emphasized that this competition aims to sharpen Kenya’s performance on the global stage and showcase the country's growing talent in shooting sports.
