Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka has vehemently criticized President William Ruto's government, accusing it of widespread corruption and mismanagement, stating it deserves the "Wantam" slogan. Addressing a press briefing in Karen, Nairobi, Kalonzo highlighted financial scandals and crumbling public services as reasons for his condemnation.

• Kalonzo cited the alleged swindling of Sh10.6 billion from the Social Health Authority (SHA).
• He accused the government of causing the closure of legitimate hospitals due to unpaid claims and lamented the shambolic state of education, with students being denied admission despite receiving financial aid notifications.
• Kalonzo also questioned the unexplained presence of Jubaland forces in Mandera, demanding clarification from Commander-in-Chief Ruto.
• The Wiper party will hold its National Delegates Congress (NDC) on October 10, 2025, ahead of by-elections in November.
