President William Ruto led Kenyans in mourning the death of Kimani Ichung'wah's father, Mzee Isaac Ngugi, who passed away on Thursday morning at his Kikuyu home in Kiambu County at the age of 105.

• Mzee Ngugi was described by President Ruto as an industrious and astute businessman and a key figure in the founding of Kikuyu Town.
• The death was first confirmed by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula.
• Several other government leaders, including Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen, also offered condolences for Mzee Ngugi, the father of National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung'wah.
