Two suspects have been arrested in Lugari Sub-County, Kakamega County, over the vandalism of railway infrastructure. This follows an intelligence-led operation that recovered stolen railway clips and led to the identification and apprehension of an alleged accomplice.

• 65 pandrol clips were recovered from the home of one suspect, Geoffrey Kiprotich.
• The operation involved officers from Bungoma Railways, Kipkaren Railways patrol base, and the Kenya Railways Corporation (KRC) security unit.
• The second suspect, Nicholas Macharia, was named by Kiprotich as being responsible for transporting the vandalized items.
