The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has disconnected power at the lands office in Embu County over an outstanding debt of Ksh40,000. This has brought land transactions and title deed generations to a standstill, according to Embu County Senator Alexander Mundigi.

• Senator Alexander Mundigi urged Embu County CEC Member for Lands, Housing, and Physical Planning, Raymond Njagi, to settle the debt.
• This incident follows a similar dispute six months ago where KPLC clashed with Nairobi County government over Ksh3 billion in unpaid electricity bills, which was resolved after President William Ruto's intervention.
