The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has launched an investigation into the murder of Nairobi lawyer Kyalo Mbobu, who was fatally shot by unknown assailants on Magadi Road. Detectives from the DCI Homicide Bureau, supported by experts from the National Forensic Laboratory, are collecting evidence and urge public cooperation to bring the perpetrators to justice.

• Kyalo Mbobu was shot five times in the head on September 10, 2025, by two individuals on a motorcycle during a traffic snarl-up.
• The DCI has recovered three used bullets from the scene and is appealing to the public for information.
• Prior to his death, Lawyer Mbobu had attended two meetings in the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) before heading home.
