The Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) has withdrawn its candidates from three elective positions for the upcoming national by-elections on November 27. This decision, made after a National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, aligns with the party's strategy to foster unity within the United Opposition.

• The DCP will not contest in Muumbini Ward, Makueni County, supporting Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper Patriotic Front.
• The party also dropped its candidacy in Kabuchai/Chwele ward, Bungoma County, in favor of Eugene Wamalwa's DAP-K party.
• The third position is the Member of Parliament (MP) seat for Mbeere North, where DCP will back the Democratic Party. The seat became vacant after Geoffrey Ruku was appointed Cabinet Secretary (CS) for Public Service.
