The Cricket Kenya Supreme Council has officially validated the inaugural Cricket Kenya T20 League set for November 7, 2025, in Nairobi, while also recommending the immediate removal of CEO Ronald Bukusi for alleged gross misconduct.
- The league is a Sh255 million, five-year deal between Cricket Kenya and Dubai/India-based AOS Sport.
- 17 of the 24 CK Counties joined Taita Taveta County Representative Michael Riwa in calling for CEO Bukusi's termination due to his "misleading" statement disowning the league.
- The tournament, featuring six franchises and taking inspiration from the Indian Premier League (IPL), will allow players who retired from 2023 onwards to participate, with 2003 World Cup legends Maurice Odumbe and the Obuya brothers serving as ambassadors.
