The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) will hold a Purple Ribbon March on Friday, September 12, protesting the murder of lawyer Mbobu and violence against legal professionals. The march will proceed from the Milimani Law Courts to Vigilance House to present a memorandum to Police Inspector General Douglas Kanja.

• The Purple Ribbon March will be observed across all eight (8) LSK Branches countrywide.
• The Senior Counsel Bar (SCB) noted Mbobu's murder appears to be by a well-trained assassin and linked it to a 33-year-old case involving Captain (Rtd) Kung'u Muigai.
• The DCI is urged to expedite investigations into the perpetrators and motive behind the attack where Mbobu was shot in the head by assailants on a motorbike.
