President William Ruto has deployed the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) to oversee the construction of over 75 health facilities across Kenya, aiming for speedy completion. This initiative follows the President's personal instruction for the KDF to upgrade the Sogoo Level 4 Hospital after noting delays.

• The Sogoo Level 4 Hospital is projected to be completed in 11 months, with Defence PS Patrick Mariru stating that all unskilled labor will be drawn from the local community.
• The KDF's role is supervisory, partnering with the ministries of health and sports, and not replacing existing government agencies.
• Governor Patrick Ntutu of Narok County highlighted the importance of the Sogoo Hospital for residents who previously traveled to Bomet County for medical services, and also mentioned upcoming land title deeds for Cheluget farm settlers and resettlement of Maasai Mau forest evictees.
