Siaya Governor James Orengo is under pressure to address the mass dismissal of 385 health workers hired by the county government, following allegations of graft and mismanagement.

• Alego Usonga MP Sam Atandi challenged Orengo to dismiss responsible senior officials and invite the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to investigate an alleged employment scandal.
• The Siaya County Government dismissed the 385 health workers for allegedly using forged documents, eight months after their employment.
• According to County Public Service Board Chief Executive Officer Wilfred Nyagudi, inconsistencies were found in reference letters, with only 120 health workers deemed eligible.
