The Court of Appeal has granted a reprieve to the Nairobi Hospital board, lifting a ban that had prevented them from holding meetings since July. This decision overturns a previous High Court order and also suspends contempt proceedings against senior officials.

• The Court of Appeal, comprising Justices Patrick Kiage, Jamila Mohammed, and Weldon Korir, allowed the board to resume meetings pending an appeal.
• Chief Executive Officer Felix Osano, board chairperson Dr Barcley Onyambu, and company secretary Gilbert Nyamweya had faced contempt charges.
• The hospital argued that the ban on board meetings disrupted operations and crippled governance, with the CEO having a spending cap of Ksh.5 million without board approval.
