Parents and students of St George's Girls' High School were left stranded after the school refused to readmit students who had been sent home following unrest two weeks ago, just weeks before national exams.

• Parents attempting to bring their children back on Thursday, September 18, were turned away at the gate, with the administration stating they would only address concerns on Tuesday, September 23.
• The initial unrest on September 8 involved students forcibly leaving the institution due to allegations of corporal punishment, reportedly triggered by a teacher assaulting a student over viewing the 'blood moon' eclipse.
• The Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations are scheduled to begin on November 3 and conclude on November 21, making this the most crucial academic term.
