An Argentine appellate court has ordered the seizure of assets from late football legend Diego Maradona's lawyer, two of his sisters, and three others, alleging fraudulent management of his brand.

• $1.34 million (2 billion pesos) seized from all accused parties.
• Matias Morla was Maradona's former lawyer and is indicted along with two assistants.
• Maradona's children successfully argued that his brand and its subsidiaries should have been transferred to them upon his death in 2020.
• Two of Maradona's daughters, Dalma and Giannina, initiated the lawsuit in 2021.
