The Employment and Labour Relations Court has suspended the nationwide strike by lecturers and public university staff in Kenya, which had disrupted learning for the past two days. Justice Stephen Radido ordered conciliatory talks between all stakeholders.
- The strike was initiated by UASU, KUSU, and KUDHEIHA over unfulfilled Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), including outstanding arrears of Ksh2.73 billion from the 2021–2025 CBA and Ksh7.9 billion from the 2017–2021 CBA.
- Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Migos Ogamba has urged unions to comply with the court order and engage in conciliation.
