Following violent protests at Litein Boys High School in Kericho County, ten students have been arrested. The unrest, triggered by students being denied permission to watch an Arsenal football match, resulted in parts of the institution being burned down on Sunday night, September 21.

• 10 students were apprehended after being identified through CCTV footage, some seen with machetes and knives.
• Kericho Governor Eric Mutai confirmed the arrests and praised the County security team's response.
• The school has been closed indefinitely, and Governor Mutai plans to meet with the Ministry of Education to address systemic challenges at the school and others in Kericho County.
