A Nigerian man, Okwudili Cletus Onuh, has been ordered to pay a fine of Ksh.46.5 million or face a 60-year prison sentence by a Kenyan court for multiple drug trafficking offenses. His change of plea was prompted by overwhelming evidence presented by the prosecution.

• Onuh was fined Ksh.46,500,000 for counts 1, 3, and 4, with a default sentence of 20 years’ imprisonment for each count, to run concurrently.
• The conviction and sentencing took place on September 23, 2025, at Kahawa Law Courts before Senior Principal Magistrate Richard Koech.
• The case against a second accused, Hamid Annet Njoki Kaur, is scheduled to proceed to a hearing on September 29, 2025.
