Kenyan investors can now trade digital versions of US stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs) using cryptocurrency platforms like Bitget.

• Investors can start with as little as Sh500 by depositing funds via M-Pesa.
• Platforms like Bitget offer access to over 100 tokenised stocks and ETFs, including shares of companies such as Tesla, Apple, Amazon, Microsoft, and JPMorgan Chase.
• The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) warns that these products are unregulated and volatile, lacking investor protections under Kenyan law, though the country is drafting the Virtual Asset Service Providers Bill, 2025 to address regulation.
