The Ministry of Public Service has announced a mass recruitment drive for drivers on permanent and pensionable terms, offering a basic salary of up to Ksh24,000 plus allowances. Eligible Kenyans are invited to apply through the Ministry's portal before October 22, 2025.

• Applicants must have a minimum mean grade of D plain in KCSE and a valid, endorsement-free driving license.
• Recruits will receive a basic salary ranging from Ksh19,340 to Ksh24,470, with a house allowance based on deployment region, a monthly commuter allowance of Ksh3,000, and an annual leave allowance of Ksh4,000.
• Key requirements include a first-aid certificate course of at least one week, passing the Suitability Test Grade III with two years of driving experience, and a police clearance certificate.
• Public Service Principal Secretary Jane Imbunya warned that presenting fake certificates or documents, or canvassing, will lead to automatic disqualification.
