A fourth Kenyan, irregularly conscripted into the Russian army, has been rescued and is returning home, according to Foreign Affairs Principal Secretary Korir Sing’oei. This brings the total number of Kenyans rescued from this situation to four.

• Victims reportedly signed contracts with unnamed employment agencies, committing to pay up to $18,000 (Ksh2,331,000) for travel and accommodation.
• One Kenyan, Evans Kibet, recounted being duped into joining the Russian army after initially visiting the country as a tourist.
