Popular Gengetone artist Shalkido has been hospitalized in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following a road accident on Thika Road on Sunday, October 5, at around 4am. The accident reportedly left him with serious head injuries.

• Shalkido was traveling on his motorbike from a performance in Thika before the incident.
• Media personality Oga Obinna was among the last to see Shalkido, fueling his bike shortly before the accident.
• The motorbike has been taken to an unnamed police station for investigations.
• This incident follows Shalkido’s recent return to the limelight after publicly addressing financial struggles, which led to comedian Eric Omondi’s Sisi kwa Sisi initiative fundraising for a motorbike for him.
