Kiambu County has accused the Kenya Medical Practitioners, Pharmacists and Dentists Union (KMPDU) of inflating newborn death figures amidst an ongoing doctors’ strike, calling the union’s numbers “alarmist and inaccurate.” Chief Officer for Health Services, Patrick Nyagah, stated that the reported figures were deliberately doubled to create panic.
