Armando Tanzini was arrested at his Vasco da Gama Pillar residence and denied the charges before Kilifi Chief Magistrate Charles Obulutsa.
Another suspect, Pierluigi Caffini, is facing accusations for forging a power of attorney for the same land and has been summoned to court.
Tanzini was granted a surety bond of Sh. 5 million or cash bail of Ksh.2 million and ordered to deposit his passports.
The case is set for hearing on December 10, with a mention on October 29.
