A Kisumu court has released two suspects, Michael Mwaga and Peter Andei, allegedly part of a motor vehicle theft syndicate, on a Ksh.500,000 bail each with surety of a similar amount.

The Principal Magistrate Dennis Ogal dismissed the prosecution's request for 21 days detention, deeming it too long.
The main suspect, Evans Otieno Meda, was arrested on Wednesday and will be arraigned on Thursday.
Police recovered another stolen vehicle, Toyota Axio KDD 559J, bringing the total number of recovered vehicles to 13.
