The Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA) has announced the closure of Jamhuri Road in Nairobi from Friday, October 10, at 8 pm to Sunday, October 12, at 11 pm for maintenance works.

  • The closure is to facilitate the construction of drainage and sewer infrastructure as part of the Ksh44 billion Talanta Sports City Project.
  • KURA advised motorists to use Sanctuary Road and Kibera Drive as alternative routes.
  • The Talanta Sports City Project, which began in March 2024, will feature a 60,000-spectator capacity stadium.
