• Senator Ojienda wants to know the ethnic and county distribution of the over 100,000 officers, including their cadres and ranks as of September 30, 2025.
• The NPS recruitment drive for 10,000 police constables was scheduled for October 3 to 9 but was postponed following an injunction from the Employment and Labour Relations Court.
• The postponement was due to a petition filed by Harun Mwau challenging the recruitment process, which has been ongoing for nearly three years.
