The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has obtained a court order to search for the body of missing fisherman Brian Odhiambo within Lake Nakuru National Park, following leads that he may have been secretly buried there. This development comes nine months after Odhiambo disappeared while in the custody of Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers.

• Detectives from the DCI sought court orders for search and exhumation after intelligence suggested Odhiambo was buried in the park.
• The missing fisherman’s family accuses KWS of deliberately delaying the court-ordered search.
• Six KWS officers—Francis Wachira, Abdulrahman Ali Sudi, Isaac Ochieng, Evans Kimayo, Michael Wabukala, and Alex Lorogoi—were charged with abduction with intent to confine in May.
